3D Measurement Of Small Tubes and Wires

TubeInspect HD is especially designed to meet requirements in the production of bent tube and wire parts shorter than 500mm. This system is the ideal solution for industrial sectors including automotive, electronic, household appliance, construction, furniture and medical engineering.

Measuring results are available within seconds and are displayed on a notebook computer, in color-codes following a gauge check. This allows the operator to  make a decision quickly about the quality of the parts. The portability of this system allows it to be easily integrated into an existing production environment with minimal effort by placing it on a table.  TubeInspect HD allows manufacturers to improve quality and save time where complex tube inspection is needed.

TubeInspect HD three-dimensionally inspects short, thin tubes and wires with diameters of 1mm up to 10mm, checking various geometric features such as bends, length of the part, and end-to-end distance. The measuring field comprises a volume of 450mm x 400mm x 200mm. TubeInspect HD is able to measure the geometries with a unique accuracy. It disposes of eight digital cameras positioned close to the work piece (each having a resolution of 2 megapixels) and it uses a glass reference that is stable both with respect to shape and temperature. For the determination of the sheath tolerance, the measuring accuracy accounts for ±0.025mm. Hand held probe, optically tracked to capture single point measurements, within a large measurement volume.
